How do you become a professional blogger?

By professional blogger, I assume you mean “enough money to live from my blog”. So if you have not started yet, follow these steps :

• Write down a list of topics. From this list, try to quickly imagine the title of some of your future blog posts and note them too.

• Create your blog. For this step, Wordpress is the way to go in my opinion. It’s free, has the largest community if you need some help, and has tons of plugins and themes.
  You can launch your Wordpress blog in two minutes on the Wordpress website. But if you really want to get all of the control on your blog, you can also install it on a common hosting provider (Bluehost is probably the way to go).

• Write one post everyday. To start getting some visitors on your website, you have to produce quality content regularly. Writing one unique and quality post everyday will surely get your blog indexed in Google quickly.

• Don’t give up even if you don’t have the results you want. Getting some traffic on your blog is hard and will take you a lot of time. The difference between a successful blogger and the others if that the first one didn’t give up and continued to produce quality content regularly. 99% of successful bloggers started like you, with an empty Wordpress blog.

• Write guest posts. This is a key point. If you want to start getting quick traffic instantly, you can also write some posts on others blogs. I recommend starting writing guest posts after you have written at least 20+ posts on your own blog. Why? Because the owner of the other blog wants to be sure you produce quality content.

• Set up Google Adsense banners. To generate money easily, the easiest way is to put ad banners on your blog. You have a lot of free plugins to help you to do that in a few clicks.

• Write sponsored posts. Once your blog is well indexed in Google, you will have visitors, and hopefully regular visitors. The more you will write blog posts and the more visitors you will get. Once you have consistent traffic, you can start sending messages to some brands in your niche to ask if they want to appear on your blog. That’s a good way to generate a good amount of money.

At this point, you should start generating money from your blog, and you are - in my opinion - a professional blogger… But only if you followed these steps, especially point number 4 : don’t give up and you’ll get the results you want.
